Administrative
The Administrative portfolio focuses on the organisation and financials of the Blackstone Society. The portfolio handles all the behind-the-scenes aspects of the society to facilitate the best law school experience for the students. Some of these aspects include:
Negotiating and securing all firm sponsorship contracts;
Managing and maintaining the Society’s bank accounts; and
Conducting and organising all internal meetings with both the Executive and broader Committee.
If you have any questions regarding the Society, sponsorship or general financial matters, please contact James Ryan, the Administrative VP.
Blackstone Mentoring Network
In 2024, both streams of the Blackstone Mentoring Program facilitate events to connect students and their mentors, provide opportunities for students to network with members of the profession, engage in charitable giving, and provoke an open conversation about the challenges facing legal practitioners.
Blackstone Mentoring Network
The Blackstone Mentoring Network is a re-launched initiative in 2024, and aims to build upon the success of WILMS in continuing to bridge the gap between students and the profession. All students, including members of WILMS, are invited to participate in the Blackstone Mentoring Network. In addition to facilitating closer relationships between all students and members of the profession, the Blackstone Mentoring Network will enable LGBTIQ+ and Indigenous students to connect with professionals who come from a similar background.
